New EHA committees to be formed in 2016

In 2016 the EHA board members identified the need to form additional committees in order to promote a standardized ABCDE centered approach. A General Secretary will be appointed to coordinate the assembly of these committees.  Five Committees of EHA members with recognized expertise in the areas are planned to be assembled.

EHA commissioned Jacco Veldhuizen to examine and bring forward recommendations with regard to defining the committees’ structure and function based on the ABCDE-approach (Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability and Environment / Exposure).

An Executive working group has been set up to bring forward recommendations with regard to EHA committee structure and function at the next EHA Executive Committee meeting in Amsterdam, August 2016.

We would welcome EHA members comments on the recommendations in the report (to be released November 2016) and on other aspects of the establishment, structure and functioning of EHA Committees.
